Facebook new policy asserting its interactivity is prompting Pharma to reconsider its social media strategy

Currently pharma companies are able to test social media strategies with their Facebook  branded pages thanks to their ability to disable commenting, this of course is keeping them out of trouble with the FDA off-label promotion regulations. This is about to change as Facebook new policy will no longer allow drug-makers to disable the comments feature on their pages. The question is how much if any this is going to discourage the conservative and highly regulated pharmaceutical industry from embracing social media.
